Having served as Spokesman of the Management Board and Director Central Divisions of Westag & Getalit AG since 2006, Bernhard Wenninger has decided not to renew his contract at the end of the year and to resign from the Management Board effective December 31, 2015.
Mr Wenninger, who has been with Westag & Getalit AG for almost 10 years, has advised the Supervisory Board that he wishes to accept new professional challenges elsewhere. Mr Wenninger will resign on the most amicable terms and the Supervisory Board, having been informed of his decision at today’s meeting, very much regrets his departure.
Mr Wenninger’s announced resignation means that Westag & Getalit will lose a leader who has always demonstrated the strongest commitment to the company’s well-being and success and who has been instrumental and effective in shaping the development of Westag & Getalit AG over the past decade. While making every effort to sustain and improve the company’s economic success, he never lost sight of the needs of its people and its local ties with Rheda-Wiedenbrück and Wadersloh in the Eastern Westphalia region. The company and the Supervisory Board of Westag & Getalit AG owe Mr Wenninger an exceptional debt of gratitude for his commitment and his outstanding work, wishing him all the very best and lots of success both in his career and in his personal life in the future.
The resulting vacancy on the Management Board has prompted the Supervisory Board of Westag & Getalit AG to review the Management Board member portfolios and responsibilities. The position of Management Board Spokesman will not be filled again in this form; this role is to be taken over by Mr Wilhelm Beckers as the Chairman of the Management Board. A newly appointed CFO will be in charge of the Finance, Controlling, Human Resources, Legal and IT Central Divisions portfolios. The purchasing, technical services, central shipping and marketing communications units will be overseen by Mr Beckers and Mr Franz David, who was appointed to the Management Board effective March 1, 2015 and continues to serve as Head of the Surfaces/Elements Division.
