What is FENIX?

Introduced in 2013, FENIX are the innovative materials created for interior design by Arpa Industriale. Thanks to their distinctive technological features and timeless elegance, FENIX has become an indispensable part of interior design.

What are the properties of the FENIX surface?

Manufactured using proprietary technologies, the outer surface of FENIX is characterised by the use of new generation acrylic resins, which are hardened and fixed using a process called electron beam curing. This makes the features of FENIX unique. At first glance, the surfaces impress with their super-matt appearance. When you touch them, you feel the pleasant soft-touch effect and the additional surprise that no fingerprints are left behind. Thermal repair of superficial micro-scratches is also possible.

How the matt look is created

When viewed under a microscope, the structure of FENIX appears as an uneven landscape of peaks and valleys. When light waves hit this material, the angle of incidence is not the same over the entire surface. Light is therefore reflected in different directions. This is what makes FENIX matt.

Where can FENIX be used?

FENIX is suitable for creating a wide range of interior design solutions. FENIX surfaces can be used to furnish hospitality spaces, offices, retails and living spaces. Other possible applications include the design of showrooms and industrial designs.

FENIX materials at a glance

FENIX NTM

Pleasant to touch and durable: as an extremely matt surface, FENIX NTM gives doors an elegant and valuable appearance. Surface, edge and frame in the same colour make doors look as if they have been cast from a single mould. Especially as functional doors, they prove that robustness and elegance do not have to be a contradiction in terms.

FENIX NTA

Matt, elegant and yet robust: the empowered metal surface impresses with FENIX® properties also on doors. With a colour – matching frame, the door becomes a design object–with sophisticated functions if desired.
