New frame structure

When it comes to installing door frames, a few millimetres in the wall opening can quickly create a lot of additional work. That’s why we created our new frame structure – for extra fitting allowance with the same, tried-and-tested stability.

New frame structure

1 Fitting allowance
2 Rebate width
3 Seal
4 Jamb plate
5 Screw-on hinge slot

Optimised rebate geometry

  • Fitting allowance increased by up to 4 mm by adjusting the rebate width from 11 to 13 mm
  • Seal mounted deeper on the door surface for lower transparency and permeability
  • Sturdy jamb plate: high durability and rigidity thanks to 25 mm thickness

Built-in screw-on hinge slot for approved door frames

  • Bevelled shape for optimised mounting
  • Higher strength: suitable for doors up to 100 kg

The tried-and-tested, built-in cup hinge slot is also available exclusively as an optimised frame structure with additional fitting allowance.

Steel frames

With their highly sturdy construction and excellent durability, steel frames are the perfect choice for many public spaces, especially combined with wooded doors. The frame’s service life can even be significantly enhanced with details such as an increased sheet thickness (2.0 instead of 1.5 mm) and reinforcement in the lockbolt and latch areas – particularly useful for barracks, schools and other public buildings.

Galvanized/protection-primed frames are either coated on site or powder-coated prior to delivery so your construction can move onto the next phase much quicker and more easily. Depending on your technical and visual requirements, our V2A and V4A stainless steel frames may also present a useful alternative.
